Alright, spill the tea: How did you find yourself in the advertising industry, and what’s been the best part of your journey at VMO so far?

I always knew I wanted to work in advertising from the time I started my tertiary studies. My older brother is an advertising powerhouse and I have always admired and looked up to him.

The best part about working at VMO is the awesome team and incredible clients I get to work with on a daily basis. I truly believe that the people you work with make a big difference and my team consistently brings out the best in me.

If your problem-solving skills were a superhero, would they be more like Batman, using high-tech gadgets, or Wonder Woman, relying on innate wisdom and strength? Explain why.

Wonder Woman – definitely. I centre both my work and home life on core values of strength, compassion, and courage, as they pave the way for positive experiences and personal growth. Also, my 4-year-old thinks I’m Wonder Woman too so that makes it legit.

If your work ethic were a culinary creation, would it be a bold spicy curry, a comforting bowl of soup, or a zesty fruit salad? How does this dish mirror your approach to work?

A Beef Wellington. It involves careful preparation, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence which are all qualities that resonate with my work ethic.

If your morning routine were an Olympic sport, what would your gold medal event be, and how would you describe your winning strategy? – E.g. never missing the train, showering in seconds etc.

Waking up at 4am to be at gym by 4.30am to get my daily workout in. I definitely feel like this is my gold medal event. I sleep with a pre-workout next to my bed, when my alarm goes off, I sit up and drink it without even thinking twice. Once it’s down the hatch, there is no going back, you’re fully committed to the cause. Possibly not the best “health” advice but it works – LOL! Discipline is the highest form of self-love.

Midday recharge: Would you prefer a power nap in a cozy office hammock or a brisk stroll to explore the best local lunch spots? How does your ideal lunch break reflect your approach to work-life balance?

We are so blessed with the location of our office in New Zealand that we often do lunch time strolls around the Viaduct in the sunshine which is soul-fulfilling. I’m still working on getting Rob (Commerical Director, NZ) to buy a walking pad for the office for the winter months – I’ll let you know if I ever get this right, tough crowd.

If your work life had its own soundtrack, what three songs would play on repeat?

  1. U2 – Beautiful Day – Brings all the positive vibes

  2. Eminem – Lose Yourself – This is my ‘pump up’ song!

  3. Impi – Johnny Clegg – This is my victory song!
