Meet The Team: VMO Appoints Isabella Keogh As Group Sales Manager.

Isabella Keogh has been promoted to the position of Group Sales Manager within the VMO Sydney agency sales team. Since she began her journey with VMO, Bella’s passion, positivity, professionalism, drive and enthusiasm have eminently contributed to the success of the business, along with our company culture.

Tell us about your journey in the industry and at VMO.

My career in the media industry started at Channel 7, where I was a Sales Coordinator straight out of university. I was extremely fortunate to be surrounded by individuals who taught me the fundamentals of television. This has been an asset in selling VMO’s TV network today. After close to three years at Channel 7 and working my way up to an Account Partnerships Exec across The Morning Show & Daily Edition, I moved over to London where I was an Account Manager for close to two years at i-media (formally known as Admedia). This company specialised in OOH advertising and were the leaders in Motorway Advertising. Having the opportunity to be exposed to the media landscape in London and their OOH industry has been instrumental in my career success today.

My time at i-media was my first exposure to the OOH industry. It was here that I stepped into my own, developing my skills as an individual and OOH expert. It was a no brainer to continue in this medium when I arrived back in Sydney close to two years ago. Cherie Salt, who I am lucky to call a friend and mentor, had an opportunity in her team at VMO and I jumped at the opportunity. With VMO being a dynamic network that sells across multiple verticals including Shop, Active & On-The-Go, it gave me the opportunity to use the skills and experience I obtained in both television and motorway advertising. My time here at VMO thus far has been memorable and a lot of fun. This is largely due to the leaders in the business – Paul Butler, Geoff Cochrane & Liam O’Meara – who have created an amazing culture within the team and have provided on-going support and guidance in my roles.

What is your biggest goal at VMO?

My biggest goal when starting at VMO was to be a Group Sales Manager within a certain time frame. Now that this goal has been realised, my next focus is to continue to grow and succeed in this role as well as become an instrumental leader and mentor to my newly promoted Account Executives – Josh Ferraz & Rhianna Heatley. Both Josh & Rhi are extremely determined and motivated young reps and I’m excited to see both of them flourish in their new roles here at VMO working across the Omnicom Group.

Where do you find inspiration?

Inspiration for me comes from the people I surround myself with. The leaders and team here at VMO and the wider business are extremely inspiring and I am fortunate to be able to bounce ideas off every single person in the team. In addition, my mentors in the media industry are some of the most motivational individuals I have met and I’m fortunate to be continually challenged and guided by them.

What’s your favourite aspect of working at VMO?

The people & culture. I can confidently say that I have never worked at a company who prides themselves on the individuals in their business more than VMO. I have met some incredible and inspiring individuals, who I now consider some of my closest friends.

In addition to the culture here at VMO, we’re extremely fortunate to be exposed to other parts of the business including Val Morgan Cinema and Val Morgan Digital. Having the opportunity to work closely with my colleagues in both departments and creatively come up with unique group responses is definitely one of my favourite parts of my role.

What are your two biggest accomplishments in your time at VMO?

It goes without saying that my biggest accomplishment was my promotion to Group Sales Manager. Being given this opportunity by three individuals who I respect and motivate me on a daily basis, was an incredible personal achievement and I’m excited to showcase my strategic thinking and capability in this next chapter of my career. In addition, one of my most memorable accomplishments was signing on Audi as a first-time client across the network. This campaign was part of their A3/S3 product campaign and we were able to showcase the brand across some of VMO’s most premium Large Format and Large Format Platinum assets. Obtaining new spenders on VMO is a huge focus for the team and it is wonderful to see hard work pay off!
