Val Morgan Group Celebrates EOFY With Christmas In July Featuring Ugly Sweaters

On Thursday last week, Val Morgan Cinema, VMO and Val Morgan Digital came together to celebrate the end of the financial year. With a classic Christmas in July theme, the VMG team wholeheartedly committed, showing up in an eclectic range of “ugly sweaters” to complete the fun look and feel of the day, and add to the vibrant atmosphere of the exciting and wholesome celebration.

The Sydney celebration kicked off at HOYTS Entertainment Quarter, where Chief People Officer, Jodi Paton, and the managing directors of all three businesses Guy Burbidge, Paul Butler and Brian Florido came together to present and share the success of their teams so far this year, and set the scene for what's to come in the second half of the year.

The day was continued at the Urban Winery for a long, festive lunch with various activities and celebrations, including a bespoke Val Morgan themed bingo game, whose lucky winners received hilarious and cosy Oodies!

Along with celebrating the overarching success of the business, Val Morgan Group aims to make it a priority to internally recognise those who have been key contributors to the culture and success of the company, by rewarding their efforts with a FIERCE award, representing their alignment with the Val Morgan Group values. Four FIERCE awards were given out at our Sydney EOFY celebration, to Amy Blanch, Production and Operations Executive (Val Morgan Cinema), Holly Moody, Marketing Manager (Val Morgan Group), Dylan Long, Programmatic Solutions Executive (VMO), and Basmah Qazi, Entertainment Producer (Val Morgan Digital).

The event was a wonderful way to bring together the wider team, and to celebrate and appreciate all the work and talent that has lead to such an incredible first half of the year. We are excited for what is to come in the rest of 2022!
